Here’s a pseudo-electronic track that I started in my dorm room. I was experimenting with some organ when this song was born. The hardest part was coming up with the melody and lyrics to fit with it, since, for the most part, this song is composed of sections of odd-numbers of measures. I worked really hard on this one. Hope you like it.

What is this song about? What do you think it is about?

I was born on the eve of a revolution
I was born a child of liberty.
Freedom given by the one who never dies,
The will of the people within me.

How can we stand here now and believe we’ve got nothing special?
Take me not for granted now.
They’d better go find their voice before virtue turns tyranny.

If they’d learn how to fight for their own cause
I think they’d find freedom in these laws.
I’ve been dreaming of a land that sits beyond the stars
I’ve been hoping to find the place where you are.

I’m a guardian of the shore, I lift my lamp beside the golden door
For the tempest-tossed I stand upright by day, by night.

I’ve been hoping to find the place where you are tonight.

We’re losing. We’re losing. We’re dreaming now.

I’ve been hoping to find the place where you are tonight.
